Rosenstein and Wray both have Chris Christie fingerprints on them. Holdovers from CC’s failed stint on the transition team.

Did Wray actually object to the release of the memo? Apparently, according to any number of anonymous sources and one anonymous FBI statement made available earlier this week that claimed the FBI had "grave concerns" about "omissions" in the memo, it is inferred that Wray objects to the release of the memo. However, Wray has not during this entire memo review process come out and made a public statement or released a signed statement stating any objections.

Why was he picked? Good question. Probably recommended by the same person who endorsed Rosenstein.

"However, Wray has not during this entire memo review process come out and made a public statement or released a signed statement stating any objections."Did he have to? Sessions' spokesman made the objections a week ago:
DOJ Official to Nunes: Releasing the Memo Would Be 'Extraordinarily Reckless'Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd is urging House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes to keep the memo about government surveillance abuses within the halls of Congress.

And we should always remember to point out that it was the Democrats who did it, and it is the Democrats who are now desperately trying to cover up the crap that they dumped on the American people.

Yes, I was pretty surprised at that Boyd statement. He's sleeping Jeff's lapdog, and you wouldn't expect him to start yipping unless Jeff gave the OK. Apparently, the president was not OK with this - I read a story last week that Trump heard about the Boyd letter on the way back to DC from Davos and was pretty unhappy about it. The story stated, if I recollect, that Gen. Kelly had a couple of pointed conversations with sleepy Jeff and sent him back to the dog house.

Remember the good old days when the media was the natural adversary of the FBI and CIA and would jump at the chance to publicize a scandal of such gravity? Seems like ages ago. Where have all of the honest people gone?
