Don’t get your hopes up. I’ve got a feeling POTUS is going to back down here. He’s rolling on the economy and tax cuts. No reason to pick a fight with Deep State scum right now. Save that for his second term.
If the “deep state” is that powerful that POTUS needs to back down here; there’s not going to be a second term.
As I said previously, if he caves to Wray, it’s going to cost him a LOT of votes, including mine. And I don’t particularly give a shit what else he accomplishes. What the FBI, DOJ, elements of other departments and agencies have done amounts to nothing short of sedition and treason - and yes, they are different. Too many people - here on FR and elsewhere - seem to think that this level of misconduct and abuse is a one-off event. It isn’t and it’s gotten worse over the course of my lifetime. Federal bureaucrats need to be held accountable.
