Two sisters in Atlanta, Georgia, are accused of beating a 3-year-old to death after he snuck a cupcake from the kitchen.
Lashirley and Glenndria Morris were both indicted on felony murder charges over the death of Kejuan Mason, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
On Oct. 21, 2017, police got a call from a home on Cleveland Avenue in Southwest Atlanta, according to WCNC. When they got there they found medical personnel already performing CPR on Kejuan.
A police report stated that “From what I observed the house was infested with roaches.”
The pair currently remain in Fulton County jail.
During the incident, Lashirley used a baseball bat to beat Kejuan repeatedly on different parts of his body, according to a statement issued by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

At the same time, Glenndria, the child’s legal guardian, spanked the boy for eating the cupcake.
The 3-year-old was transported to Atlanta Medical center where he was pronounced dead. Paramedics at the scene said the child appeared not to be breathing for a while already, WCNC reported.
A report from the medical examiner’s office stated that the boy died from blunt force trauma.
If convicted, the sisters face life in prison, without the possibility of parole.
Glenndria told police initially that the boy had choked on a cupcake. She said another man had tried to do CPR and said that the emergency response took too much time. But she then changed her story, telling police the cupcake was removed and that the boy seemed to be fine.

Either he is protecting the judge (or himself) that ordered the removal in the first place, or he has seen enough lousy mom’s lie to get their kid (and the extra food stamps) back.
Years ago when our kids were little and I would read on FR the horrors of CPS I made sure nobody ever opened the door and let the police in. Paranoid I suppose, but I could just imagine some cop seeing toys strewn all over the place, or the 2-year old running around buck naked (not often - but it happened!) and call CPS on us.

Every culture has issues, it just would seem by the numbers that some are much more than others.
God made us all and loves us all, and that’s the important thing to remember.

Great comment but you have to back it up. Take an unarmed 1 am stroll down any MLK Blvd and report back, that is if you survive.
I wonder how they will be treated in prison? When a child molester is convicted, we hear that ‘prison justice’ will await them. But what about child killers? What is in store for them?
from the title I had hoped they were children, but this is just unreal, 2 grown women beat and kill a child over a cupcake? The legal guardian was just as evil in not stopping it as the one who swung the bat.

And if anybody could provide a kid with a decent meal, it’s you, My Life. Sad story and this one is tragic. Bill Cosby campaigned on reforming this issue in the black community...
Poor kid never had a chance..these girls look like they don’t give a damn...our future as a civilized culture looks dim
Poor little boy. This stuff crosses all racial lines. I’ve seen stories of Hispanics and Whites, too. One poor little white girl in AZ a few years ago was killed over eating a popsicle. Her “guardians” were starving and torturing her.

Montgomery told investigators he disciplined the child after Brice got out of bed to get a cookie.
Brice’s brothers told investigators they saw Montgomery punch the boy in the head and stomach several times with a closed fist.
“(Montgomery) picked him up and flung him as described by the other brothers, helicopter across the hotel room into what’s kind of a cabinet, where he hit head first. And ultimately caused his brain to bleed,” added prosecutor Smith.
