Sen. Cory Booker is deeply concerned about the more-than-likely impending release of the Nunes memo, which Republicans claim reveals that the FBI used underhanded tactics to surveil members of the incoming Trump administration.
On SiriusXMs Make It Plain with Mark Thompson, Booker said that the release of the memo would be tantamount to treasonous.
This fury and fire that has been created within the right around this [memo] is to me tantamount to a dangerous conspiracy theory that can undermine the important work our Justice Department and intelligence communities do, Booker said.
When you violate the intelligence communitys mandates around classified documentation, what should be released, you could be betraying or, especially if youre revealing sources and methods or giving some color to sources and methods, you are actually endangering fellow Americans in the intelligence community and our ability to source intelligence, he continued. So, to me, this is something that could be potentially viewed as treasonous.
Booker is often considered a frontrunner to be the Democratic presidential candidate in 2020. Bookers refutation of the Nunes memo further establishes him as a defender of the Russia investigation, and also as a staunch opponent to current Republican tactics to undermine the FBI and Justice Department.
Listen above, via SiriusXM.
If Bugeyes Booker is this upset, the FISA must have some really damaging stuff on the Dems.
He doesn't need anyone's permission to do so.
Unlike the Dems (*cough* Feinstein), some one inform Mr. Idiot Booker that the memo was released via proper and correct method.
(I mean really, how sinister is it that the former president went by several aliases throughout his life?)
Weaponizing the Justice Department, FBI, and IRS as political tools to quash dissent, rig elections, and stage a covert coup against an elected President: OK!
Revealing these crimes: “Could be ‘treasonous’”
America should have an unaccountable secret police so long as it serves the interests of the Democratic Party, and in particular the the administration and legacy of the man known as 0bama.
What did Cory Booger say again? I couldn’t hear him through his sniveling.
“When you violate the intelligence communitys mandates around classified documentation...”
Sorry, Booker, but the “intelligence community”, whatever that is, issues no mandates about classified information. The PRESIDENT issues those mandates, so President Trump can release whatever the hell he wants to.
Yes, and they are still in full-on protect Obama, their Lord and Savior, mode.
Your f*cking leader was treasonous!
The dems will change their tune about the DOJ once some people get arrested and face justice for their criminal actions. Once the swamp starts being drained in the DOJ then the dems will suddenly start fearing the DOJ and will start saying we need to question the overreaching powers that be. Not a surprising double standard.
I think all the emotion is because whats coming out implicates The One. At this point, I think theyre ready to throw Hillary under the bus.
It would seem to me that Corey Booker thinks exposing sedition and treason" is treasonous."
Normally I would be outraged but at this point as the seditious treasonous plot by the FBI, State Department, and parts of our intelligence agencies ( Adm. Michael S. Rogers excepted and when history is written he will be one of the saviors of our nation), I am most pleasantly amused. I will find grand juries in the near future not amusing but exhilarating.
Untreated clap.
If there’s one thing Booker knows about, it’s treason.
I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets implicated somehow.
Said the jerk whose party unmasked tons of names.
Bring it Cory, bring it. That will just remind voters what ash holes the evil donkeys are.
