New York Times: Immigrants Are Superior to Americans and Their Kids
Breitbart ^ | 30 Jan 2018 | Neil Munro

New York Times columnist David Brooks tells his friends that the costs imposed by cheap-labor immigration don’t exist because, really, Americans are just inferior to immigrants in every way.

Over all, America is suffering from a loss of dynamism. New business formation is down. Interstate mobility is down. Americans switch jobs less frequently and more Americans go through the day without ever leaving the house.

But these trends are largely within the native population. Immigrants provide the antidote. They start new businesses at twice the rate of nonimmigrants. Roughly 70 percent of immigrants express confidence in the American dream, compared with only 50 percent of the native-born. …

Republicans’ problem is that since George W. Bush left town they’ve become the East Germans of the 21st century. They have embraced a cultural model that produces low growth and low dynamism. No wonder they want to erect a wall.

"Immigrants provide the antidote. They start new businesses at twice the rate of nonimmigrants."

Yep! However, since 80% of those start-ups are landscaping and the other 20% are drug markets, very few of these so-called "start-ups" by these worthless alien invaders contribute anything to the Nation's economy.

Then, of course, there is the high probability that most of these alien invaders are getting welfare, not paying taxes, populating the prisons, and bankrupting local educational systems.

Finally, the nitwit author uses the term "immigrants". This is not about immigrants. This is about criminal illegal alien invaders.

Actual/legal "Immigrants" are a whole other story and have been great contributors to this Nation's history...

Maybe new business start up are down because Americans try to follow the infinite regulations and they pay the stifling taxes.

I know of two among many foreign born that I worked with as pharmacists that are superior to most Americans. They came to our great nation, learned English went to our schools and became pharmacists. They believe in the American dream and grabbed and ran with it and succeeded most grandly. One is Muslim from Iran and the other is Christian from Nigeria.

I also know many others that should not be here. They are uneducated and do not assimilate and are a financial drain on our great nation.

If one considers our birth rate in our great nation we really do need immigration. The world has many that are educated and want to seize the American Dream. We need these people and they are a boon to our great nation.

Immigration is not a problem. The problem is whom is allowed to immigrate.

My wife is from Mexico and came here the legal way. She was educated in our universities and her dad paid out of country tuition. That is actually more expensive than out of state tuition. She taught Spanish at the University of Houston and later trained to become a computer software engineer. She cost our great nation nothing and has only contributed.

It took my wife’s brother 17 years to become a legal citizen of our wonderful nation. He did it the legal way. ALL SHOULD DO IT THE LEAGAL WAY. He is angry that others may get to become citizens not doing it the legal way. IT IS NOT FAIR TO HIM.

These people spend their entire waking hours thinking of ways to insult the American people and weaken the country. Imagine if they contributed in a positive way to the country’s greatness.

We wouldn’t have to lock our doors.

Isn’t this the same David Brooks who admired the ‘crease in his pants’ of his favorite illegal (in so many ways) immigrant bho???

David Brooks is the gift that keeps on giving. His article on taking an associate with only a high school degree to lunch at a gourmet sandwich shop is possibly the height of snotty NY Times condescending liberalism. And I do realize that’s a huge collection of snotty liberalism there. Seeing her nervous look and knowing that she didn’t comprehend sopersata or capicola on the menu he came to her rescue and suggested they go for Mexican food instead. And somehow he tied all this into white upper class privilege. What a complete knucklehead. His post election commentary on PBS as he shockingly talked about never in his life meeting or associating with a Trump voter was also priceless. Keep going Dave we need the laughs.

Maybe they can’t find anyone outside the house that speaks English.

I think this buffoon (Brooks)- like so other many millions of Americans feeling guilt over slavery - were ever so proud of the fact they elected the FIRST EVER HALFRICAN PRESIDENT!!

Unfortunately, there are a lot of Globlaist leaning Free Traitor™ Freepers, who post regularity I might add, that would agree with that statement.

LEGAL immigrants who work hard and start a business and know the language don’t seem to be the problem

Legal immigration has been abused also. All immigration needs to stop for a LONG time to allow the ones we got now to assimilate.

Really simplistic and really stupid point. At this point we do not need to import one more person. We have had enough!
