2 Justices in one term seems unimaginable - much less potentially 3 from the opposite side. 4 seems impossible although I suppose it is. The Senate democrats would go nuclear in an absolute demonstration of how important the SCOTUS really is - a lesson that many on our side have never seemed to learn.
The appointments of Obama were not geared towards long-term legacy were they? They have represented their side and the one who appointed them as expected, but I would be finding the youngest and healthiest candidates possible if it were my choice - younger/healthier = more long term effect and more votes.
I think two in the balance of the first term is almost a given at this point.
I can see another three in the next term.
Nixon had 4 appointments in his first term (one because of Abe Fortas resigning). FDR had five appointments during his second term.
Think eight years on that impossible, OK?
There are many rumors floating around that Scalia was killed. With the many crimes the RATS committed under Hussein Obama, don't be surprised if that death is investigated again.
And don't rule out the possibility that the liberals will kill another to win.
We will a absolutely get three more swings at SCOTUS in the next 5 years...
Trump has the 58th term - Gorsuch was the 113th justice - so 2 per term is about right.
In recent years, Carter had zero but Nixon had 4 in his first term (extenuating circumstances though with Earl Warren/Warren Burger and Abe Fortas/Harry Blackmun).
Rare though would be a vacancy in the middle of a term.
I’m really surprised that the muslim homo commies in DC, did not assassinate RBG in the last year or so of Obama.
