That was back when coming here MEANT something, and the people who came here wanted to become Americans and actually assimilate into American society.
Sad to hear about his diagnosis. Not sure what his political beliefs are, but DANG...did he have some good music!
I do, too, hoagy! He was one of the icons and to me he still is. Hurt to hear that he has that horrible disease. I’m sure it won’t be long till he can’t light the world with his music. So sad.
