With his Justice Department and FBI facing broad attacks from some of his former colleagues on Capitol Hill, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said on Friday that hell stand up to any unfair attacks on the men and women of the Justice Department he now oversees. Sessions, in a speech in Norfolk, Virginia, on Friday, mentioned the sharp criticisms of DOJ coming from Congress. He said the Justice Department demands the highest level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism from every person in it, and that all employees are expected to advance the mission of the Department honorably in the service of the American people. If anyone falls short of these high standards, we will not hesitate to take appropriate action, and we will do so in accordance with the rules and procedures of the Department, Sessions said. And, while we are open to fair criticism, we will of course defend our investigators and prosecutors from criticism that is unfair.

So, why is McCabe still there?
“Stand up, Chuck!”
Clearly the most impotent AG in American history.
He should have appointed a special counsel independent of the DOJ months ago to investigate wrongdoing in the DOJ/FBI/IC.
Now of course they have had months to dispose of evidence and coordinate their defense and lawyer up people like Strzok and Page with party lawyers to keep them from turning government evidence.
Once Sessions decided he had to recuse himself (an incorrect conclusion, in my view) he should have had the honor to resign so as not to saddle the president with a recused AG.

What is he smoking?????

“So, why is McCabe still there?”
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Also, it will be easier to arrest them for sedition and bring them before committees if they still work for the government.
Asleep or maybe a deadhead.
Why is Sessions still there?
This guy is a store dummy, what the hell is Trump doing?
All the circumstantial evidence points to Sessions being part of the attempted ‘palace coup’....after being appointed he immediately rolls over and lets the attack dogs go after his boss.
How close will McCabe be when he retires in a few weeks?
Why?
Because Trumpmwants him there.

Deep State supporters relying on the old media, will take this to mean the AG will protect the Deep State.
But he is clearly saying he will root out the corrupt.
It is pretty good evidence that he and Trump are on the same page.
“Sessions he” should be “Sessions says he”
Sessions is the swamp.
He won’t be far away, being paid high six-figures by a DC law/lobbying/consulting firm.
He ISN’T saying the current criticism is unfair, is he?
