Special counsel Robert Mueller has provided lawyers for President Donald Trump with a range of topics he wants to ask about as part of ongoing negotiations regarding an interview with the President, ....
Mueller's team has also made clear it is seeking a sit-down interview with Trump, according to these sources. The President said Wednesday he is "looking forward" to that interview, subject to the advice of his lawyers.
As the President's attorneys try to whittle down Mueller's areas of interest, a source familiar with the matter says the special counsel has obliged by offering a list of topics, including learning more about the President allegedly asking former FBI Director James Comey to drop the investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Would Mueller be allowed to interview Trump if Mueller is under investigation for being part of a planned coup to assassinate or remove Trump by any means necessary?

Maybe President Trump isn’t all that concerned, but in an election year my thoughts are ...he should be. There’s a lot of dirt being flung around and much of it far worse than anything they can hang on President Trump. Yet, he has the most to lose...and so does America the longer this charade and Mueller parade are allowed to continue.

Arguing cases before a court is different than being a defense lawyer.

The interview has the sole purpose of providing the Dems with justification for impeachment. No upside. Crooked lawyers
Hell, at this point Trump may be of the opinion that CW 2.0 is inevitable, and the only way to save the country.
Let Mueller try and indict him on some bogus charge, Trump will put out the Twitter call for re-enforcements, and it will be on.

Perhaps the memo is soon to be released and Mueller will be the one answering questions.
Hell, Mueller's team will make something up! Better have about secret cameras and mikes around the room so their is no ambiguity.
IMHO, The minute Mueller sits down, Trump should say, "You are under arrest...and fired".

From the attorneys on Fox last night it appears that if they subpoena him he has to testify. However, he can negotiate the terms and scope of the questions. I agree, he should state that he will only answer questions that have been submitted in writing, and will not answer any questions that weren’t specified in writing. He should also use terms like, to the best of my recall, I can’t recall, and deflect anything that is confusing or out of left field. Think of Hillary during the Benghazi hearing. Maybe he should borrow the term, ‘what difference does it make?’.

I agree with you. Trump has no intention of being interviewed—he’s going to run out the clock until the memo is released and the gift explodes in the Democrats’ faces.
What gall Mueller has to question the POTUS on his hiring and firing decisions. Trump should tell Mueller to go to hell.
The leaks in this article should be grounds to have Mueller removed.
