Trump says he would speak to Mueller under oath in Russia investigation
The Washington Post ^ | January 24th, 2018 | By Josh Dawsey and David Nakamura

President Trump said Wednesday he is “looking forward” to testifying before special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and that he would speak under oath.

“I would love to do it, and I would like to do it as soon as possible,” Trump said at the White House. “I would do it under oath, absolutely.”

The president suggested he was being investigated for obstruction of justice as part of the Russia investigation because he was “fighting back” and reiterated there was “no collusion” between his campaign and Moscow.

“Oh well, did he fight back?” Trump said, “You fight back, oh, it’s obstruction.”

Mueller’s team has told Trump’s lawyers they want to question the president about the firing of national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James B. Comey — they have also asked witnesses in recent weeks about Trump’s attempts to oust Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

The president suggested the interview could take place in the next two or three weeks and said he continued to consult with his lawyers. The president has previously criticized the wide-ranging investigation into his administration, calling it a “hoax” and a “witch hunt.”

Never talk to police. That goes exponentially for a US President.

Oh, man. I fear for him. I really do. I believe him, but I get the impression he’s putting his head in a wild lion’s mouth. People around him have been put under oath already. He’s definitely leading by example in offering to share their tribulations. The Clintons find folks to fall on their swords for them.

Was Bill Clinton under oath when he gave his famous, “It depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is” during the Monica Lewinsky scandal?

Or knowledge that in 2 or 3 weeks there will be NO Mueller investigation... thanks to the Intel memo. Justification and dismantled, along with a complete accounting of how much this cost the American taxpayer.

In regard to security clearance— his is way higher than Mueller’s for his investigation and Rosenstein for hiring Mueller. In fact, he’s been able to go back through all the story of the spying and the real russian collusion, and knowing “inside details” of the FBI enough to know they are blaming their lost texts on a bad Samsung phone app— but of course the ISP for the FBI is different/segmented from the DOJ— so the ISPs have the emails. Game, set, match.

Fraudulent investigation proven by proven use of the “dossier” which is fake to get FISA warrent and illegally spy on our President, and there can be no obstruction with such proof provided in clear, thus allowing Trump to shut it all down and commence a real Special Counsel to prosecute all the bad actors, including Mueller’s team and the Uranium payoffs. A lot of sealed indictments.

EXTREME STUPIDITY.....................

Any slight statement by President Trump would be twisted, very naive advise....

The President has at least one NAIVE & STUPID attorney on his staff.

Let Mueller submit written questions & after wide-based legal review, reply in writing (with the public recieving copies of everything)

He also stated something to the effect that he will listen to his lawyers. So yes he is eager to testify before Mueller. However he will see what his lawyers say and go from there.

Trump should turn the interview around and start asking Mueller questions!

That’s right.

He’d better not listen to the lawyer Ty Cobb. That guy looks like a snake.
