When it is a reality, I’ll deal with it.
There are so many claims about what he has promised to do, whizzing around out there, it’s just comical to try to nail one down.
How many times have we heard, he’s not going to do the wall?
How many times have we heard he’s going to cave on DACA?
How many times has he said, he won’t do it?
I get a kick out of watching folks jump up and down screaming their heads off about things, and then 24-48 hours later, NEVERMIND...
I trust the guy.
Once he’s signed a bill that gives all the DACA folks legal status, get back to me.
Why do you think he’s appealing the DACA issue to the Supreme Court if he’s going to cave on it/
“I trust the guy.”
“Once hes signed a bill that gives all the DACA folks legal status, get back to me.”
With the backstabbing GOP, the no-border dems and Trump publicly stating he wants DACA, it’d be a miracle if DACA is busted.
He's trying to run the clock out on the 2018 midterm election.
Trump will lose his Supreme Court appeal 9-0.
Apparently, I am the only person in the English speaking world who read Judge Alsup’s entire 48 page ruling.
Alsup clearly states that Trump has the right to create a new DACA policy.
For instance, if Trump wrote an Executive Order like this:
“According to the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, the DACA kids and their parents are unlawfully present in the USA. Therefore, I order the Secretary of Homeland Security to remove all of them, beginning in March 2018.”
That order would be entirely consistent with the statute. In fact, that order is “so” legal that no judge in the USA would even allow a hearing against it.
But that's not what Trump did.
Instead, Attorney General Jeff Sessions arbitrarily declared that Obama’s DACA policy was unlawful, and Sessions ordered the Secretary of Homeland Security to stop enforcing it.
The appellate judge said, “Whoa, dude! You can write a new DACA policy any time you want to, but only the Judiciary can decide what is lawful and unlawful.”
In 2015, Trump stated multiple times that he would “end” DACA on his first day as president because DACA was “unconstitutional.”
Every GOP immigration hawk in the country thought Trump had promised to “end” DACA with the theoretical Executive Order I wrote above.
The hawks were complete idiots. Trump never intended to end DACA, only to hold it hostage in exchange for The Wall, and E-Verify, and other tough-talk immigration policies that Trump knows will never be enforced after he leaves office.
Trump always intended to let his Attorney General try to end DACA with an arbitrary decision.
And Trump always intended to allow the immigration doves, like you and hinckley buzzard, to shout down the immigration hawks, like me, who believe that Trump brazenly lied to us.
