If CA does this then their votes should not count in national elections.

The US Constitution seems to give states the right to choose electors however they wish, including allowing ‘unknowns’ to vote. Haven’t researched it specifically though.

The problem is the Feds not enforcing Federal immigration law. Given lack of enforcement, I’m not sure a state can be blamed for assuming people are here permanently and entitled to a say in their government.

Yep. Just use the results of the other 49 states and tell CA to piss off. And I live in CA.
