Imagine you wrote a book on Africa. There might be hundreds of thousands of pages you could have used as research material. But you know you are only interested in the last three years, so you leave out the colonial years and world war one. So, no matter how much you release, the Democrats will say, “well, what about the prehistoric period? What about the interwar period?” Getting into the background material release is a loser’s game.
The memo will either stand on its own, or it will not. Whether it does should be obvious.
When you see who is opposing the release, the thumbnail summary of the contents is obvious.
The caption for the document will be an indictment of the Democrats and the prior administration.
