As if the cameras can't operate without funds.....
Orangutan hardest hit.
Aren’t they afraid that the pandas will attack the zookeepers once they find out that the cameras are turned off? So much for concern for the safety of the staff.
Too bad the gov’t shutdown won’t hit the MSM.
Eat them or send them back to China. It is simply outrageous the 100s of millions of dollars spent on a few Chinese pandas.
Do they have to feed these cameras cash or something?
Sounds like they’re just being liberal jerks, as Mulvaney called it today, “weaponizing the shutdown.”
Camera’s are off, the great panda/elephant heist begins...
DOJ is making the Time Warner AT&T deal a bit of struggle. Given the Crap News Network, that’s such a shame.
I knew there was a reason I liked pandas.
That is because the people that run the Smithsonian are liberal globalists, climate change fanatics.
Even????
That did it!
Now my weekend is totally devastated...no National Zoo.
What will I do without my panda fix? The withdrawal could cause one of Feinstein’s predicted “schumer shutdown fatalities”.
Oh well, I’ll try to weather the storm with a six-pack and old Gunsmoke re-runs.
Woe is me.
Better that than the Veteran’s memorials.
What - you mean the zoo w/animals? How do you differentiate that from Congress?
“”the great panda/elephant heist begins””
Speaking of heists, they could make a movie about it with Edward Norton and De Niro....
That’s OK. Trump only watches the Gorilla Channel.
We lived in San Francisco last time they shut down. They were having the annual Sand Castle Contest at Ocean Beach which the kids really enjoyed, they canceled the event because of the govt shutdown - the beach is under the National Parks, not sure how the beach or ocean could survive without the US Govt.
Finally the Pandas get some privacy :)
Please say Trump is not going to grandstand on this as Uhbama did.
Closing down an open-air monument like the WWII? Such was a disgrace.
I really hope Trump doesn’t stoop to this level.
The zoo actually is more expensive to “run” than a monument, but I hope it doesn’t shut down. As for the cameras - that’s peanuts, and basically meaningless.
Shut it down? Hell, BURN it down! All except the panda cams, of course.
