Trump said he would sign any deal “the people in this room” would agree on. Sen. Tom Cotton was in the room. He said Durbin and Graham’s ideas could roll into the garbage can, or something like that.
Cotton, Perdue, Steve Miller, etc. would never agree to present Trump with the Democrat-Rino deal.
Trump knew exactly what he was saying.
I am guessing that he knew no bill would come out of this group that he couldn't sign, however he apparently does not know Lindsey as well as he thought.
