I see ice fishing in the movies...I think it would be fun once. I’d bring a mixed drink and fit right in. Bundle up and they wouldn’t know I wasn’t a man in the family. LOL
I have done it, but this morning was a bit too cold for me. Hubby has a “shed” and propane heater. That helps. Still, too cold for these old bones. ;-)
They do that up here.
Thinking about it might be fun, but that's about all. You sit in a little shack on the ice, drink beer and wait...and wait. (at least your beer doesn't get warm and go flat) You set lines with a little flag that pops up when you hook a fish. There is an ice fishing report up here, it currently states that due to cold temperatures, conditions are good.
However, if I was going to sit for hours and stare at something, I would rather stare at my computer and Free Republic, in the warm comfort of my office.
