Apple and GCBD "will have access to all data that you store on this service, including the right to share, exchange and disclose all user data, including content, to and between each other under applicable law."
China passed a controversial cybersecurity law last July that required companies that operated data centers in China to store all data in the country.

It all comes down to where you draw the line between usefulness and security. And how far you take it. For instance, I would not buy one of those devices like Alexa that is constantly listening. At the same time I know my smartphone is most likely doing the same thing. I have family pictures and videos on Dropbox. I don’t keep copies of my tax returns or investments there. You may draw the line a bit closer to “cabin in the woods” than me....and that’s OK.
So much for privacy eh Apple?
Meanwhile Apple will block the FBI from seeing what is on a terrorist phone here in the USA.
The cloud only exists because of data mining and being able to provide a dumbed down user device free from internal storage management issues.
