When I see the photograph of those young Armenian women being crucified, I just feel a deep anger and revulsion towards the Turks of that era.

Yes. And if you read the article I listed in my posting statement you will see how this was forced from the very top of the leadership.

Turkey is now approaching the same thing again. Erdogan the Islamist intends a repeat.

Have not verified it yet, but read an interesting report on recent weapons acquisition by elements in Northern Syria. If true, it will change the game there. Will not elaborate here.

That photo came from the 1919 Hollywood (Santa Clara CA) film, "Ravished Armenia", but does portray a real event according to the book's author, eyewitness Aurora Mardiganian.
