There is an interesting dynamic unfolding with White Hats and Black Hats amid the story of how political forces within the DOJ and FBI conspired with Clinton allies in the 2016 presidential election, ie. The Trump Operation. [Hi Glenn, Jim, Andy]
Back-story There are two central components:
♦First, corruption within the DOJ and FBI that included their use of unlawful use of FISA-702 exploits; and ♦second, how that intelligence information was extracted, passed along to those outside government, repackaged, and reconstituted into the Steele Dossier. The finished, albeit sketchy, intelligence was later returned to the FBI to request lawful FISA court surveillance authority. It is a circle of intelligence laundering.
We know the DOJ (National Security Division), and FBI (Counterintelligence Division), worked together on the enterprise. This collaboration is where the insider small group participants assemble, intersect and ultimately redistribute themselves into the Mueller investigation with the help of Muellers adviser, FBI Chief Legal Counsel James Baker.

When is the IG report due?
RR is a white hat.
Early spring.
The Jan 15 date was for initial release of investigative documents (happened Friday, 1.2 million documents). Not for release of the report itself.
January 15 - unless a holiday post pones it a day
Great read. Hope its accurate.
This article is hardly proof that Rosenstein can be trusted, and Mueller’s appointment has been a huge distraction that should have been completely avoided. “Sundance” was talking a completely different game a few months ago, when he was calling Rosenstein “pathetic” in this scathing piece against Sessions. Probably a stable of writers working under the same name that all see things completely differently.
Nice to see a new face on the flow chart, over at CTH!
The Magic Negro made the grade!
I started months ago with just the four guys at the top around Trump....and added bit by bit, often with info from Cons. Treehouse.
I still think RR has been playing both sides of the track....but as the counter-coup has gained steam, he’s jumping to the winning side.
He wants immunity for his U1 participation.
Sundance complains about Sara Carter having some bad sources, but I believe, he has some bad sources of his own.
Saw it thanks. It’s going to happen and it’s gonna be yuuuuge.
Mueller may also be working a similar deal. (And many attorneys on his payroll). The revenge of those who were conned.
Does someone have their files?
A lot of Michael Horowitz fans have been making the claim that the release of the report would be on the 15th.
bkmk
That's possible, he'd be a fool not to at this point, but still only as he has to. My thoughts are he appointed Mueller because he wanted Trump tied up as much as possible, to slow roll any other investigations that might involve him or his buddies.
Trump knew all about the unmasking etc scam that Obama used against him before Trump was even officially in office. That means Rosenstein knew too, at least by the time he was appointed. But instead of charging hard into the real scandal, he unnecessarily put Mueller in place to investigate the President instead. The special counsel should have been to investigate the DOJ, and my guess is he's still trying to stop that one from ever happening.
Have a good night!
