Steve Bannon suggested that Donald Trump's lawyers paid off 100 women who had sexual encounters with the then-candidate during the 2016 presidential campaign. Porn star Stephanie Clifford is said to have been paid $130,000 in 2016 to keep quiet about an alleged 2006 sexual encounter with Trump. And Bannon, in an interview for journalist Michael Wolff's tell-all book about the Trump White House 'Fire and Fury', suggested that Clifford wasn't the only woman to receive a similar payout.

Look, Kasowitz has known [Trump] for twenty-five years,' Bannon allegedly said.

'Kasowitz has gotten him out of all kinds of jams. Kasowitz on the campaign - what did we have, a hundred women? Kasowitz took care of all of them.'

The remark takes on new significance after the Wall Street Journal reported Friday that another of the president's lawyers, Michael Cohen, sent hush money to Clifford just weeks before the 2016 election

I am not a lawyer, but these two men mentioned are, and I assume that they can and will sue Bannon, Wolff, the book publisher, and the Daily mail for libel or slander, since they are not public figures.

BTW, Melania Trump successfully sued the Daily Mail last year and won a monetary settlement and a printed apology.I believe Michael Cohen was her lawyer.

It’s obvious now that (regardless of anyone’s opinion of either man) the breach between Trump and Bannon is deep and permanent.

Bannon has proven to have no principles and is willing to do anything to advance his position. He will burn down the barn to rid it of rats or throw the baby out with the bathwater. Take your pick of analogies.

Don’t forget he also had time to pee on hotel mattresses in Russia, surrounded by hookers.

He must have shorted out his Outlook calendar.

Bill Clinton raped women... and the press didn’t give a damn.

We need to remember that when we read these hit pieces.

Our FBI should be spending their time stopping illegals coming into our country, terrorist who want to kill us and common criminals - - and step back from bedroom keyholes that their democrat overlords have assigned them to.

Actually, Trump was right. Bannon seems to have lost his mind. Turns out, funny things happen to a person when their cash cows run out.

Never mind the fact that Bannon looks like an unmade bed....

Were there any “Russian” activities going on in any of her porno shoots? If so that would explain it. KGB meddling in Stormy’s diddling. She obviously can’t be trusted.

It is possible that 100 women came out of the woodwork with spurious claims against Trump. I think it was likely part of the Beltway playbook to keep him from being elected. Does not mean their was any truth in those claims.

Now there also exists the possibility that lawyers decided that wasting time in court to answer all the charges was a very bad use of Trump’s time and money. They might have decided the risk of a hostile DA and jury was not worth it. Though I am inclined to lean towards this is all BS school. I do keep in mind that a settlement is not automatically an admission of guilt. Usually such stipulates just as much. Rather it is a “I don’t have time for this. Go away and take this money with you.”

They were nowhere to be found.... Because it was a manufactured story by the jones campaign through his direct contacts with that highway 31 PAC and the dnc.

Note the yearbook in question was never released for forensic examination.

Eh, Trump has said that his “weakness” has been women.

Nobody’s a saint.

And I really don’t care.

The last thing I would want would be to relive the Carter presidency.

So far it is looking like what Bannon said is true enough and enough on tape for Bannon not to challenge it.

And I don’t fault the paper for reporting it.

But it says way more about Bannon and what he was really up to than it does the fitness of Trump to be president.
