Citing a strain on overwhelmed health resources, Governor Kay Ivey declared an official State of Emergency in Alabama on Thursday due to the rapidly spreading flu epidemic.
WHEREAS the State Health Officer has reported that an outbreak of the influenza virus has occurred in the State of Alabama; and
WHEREAS this outbreak poses a high probability of widespread exposure to an infectious agent that poses significant risk of substantial harm to a large number of people in the affected population; and
WHEREAS the health care facilities and personnel of the State are overwhelmed by the number of ill patients and taxed to such an extent that care of patients may now no longer be provided in the traditional, normal, and customary manner nor is the utilization of traditional, normal, and customary standards of care possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Kay Ivey, Governor of the State of Alabama, pursuant to relevant provisions of the Alabama Emergency Management Act of 1955, section 31-9-1 et seq., Code of Alabama (1975), on the recommendation of the State Health Officer, do hereby declare that a State Public Health Emergency exists in the State of Alabama. I direct the appropriate state agencies to exercise their statutory and regulatory authority to assist the communities and entities affected. I also direct the Alabama Department of Public Health and Alabama Emergency Management Agency to seek federal assistance as may be available.

I have been sick off and on since the last week of October. Got a horrible cold that put me in bed just miserable for 3 days. Since then, I get to feeling better then bam! I’m sick again. Every other week I’m sick again. Thought I had pneumonia a couple of times but then would get better. The other night I started coughing and the next morning my chest hurt so I went to the doc. He loaded me up on some heavy duty dm cough syrup, steroids, an inhaler and told me if I’m not better by the middle of this week to start taking taking a zpack he prescribed for me. He also wants me tested for valley fever.
I just want to get well and stay well! I feel for you and hope you feel better soon.

I do all that...but, I got the flu
"In April 2005, a virulent strain of influenza hit a maximum-security forensic psychiatric hospital for men that's midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. John J. Cannell, a psychiatrist there, observed with increasing curiosity as one infected ward after another was quarantined to limit the outbreak. Although 10 percent of the facility's 1,200 patients ultimately developed the flu's fever and debilitating muscle aches, none did in the ward that he supervised. "
(snip)
"Immediately, Cannell says, the proverbial lightbulb went on in his head: Maybe the high doses of vitamin D that he had been prescribing to virtually all the men on his ward had boosted their natural arsenal of the antimicrobial, called cathelicidin, and protected them from flu. Cannell had been administering the vitamin D because his patients, like many other people in the industrial world, had shown a deficiency. "
I take 5,000IU of vitamin D daily.
What was your routine to oxygenate your body? During that period if you had lab work done, the lab tech would have known your blood had high oxygen levels by its color.
What was your daily dosage of ginger, garlic, tumeric, cayenne pepper, onions, and lemon juice?
If it wasn't daily, you didn't do everything. Those are fundamental virus killers.
I eat, exercise and supplement more and better than 99% of people....but, I DID give blood 2 days before I got sick....fwiw
I have never heard anything about giving blood affecting the immune system; but it will make you tired if you didn't eat.
Two Strains are out there....H3N2 and H1N1....
The H3N2 is the dangerous one....
I know. We try to keep him away from crowds, etc. and certainly don’t let him near anyone who appears to be sick.
Excellent.
I would advise you to keep the other family children away.
They get exposed to many other kids each day at school. They are one of the most flagrant potential carriers.
Very good luck to you.
K, Doc. If you say so.
Don't be too surprised if I quickly ignore your advice.
You go ahead, government knows best after all.
It’s everyone’s personal choice, nobody should make it for you.
I’m also not a doctor, I’m an electrical contractor, but I soldiered for 10 years, I have experience with that government thing.
Vaccines aren't a government conspiracy. They have saved millions of lives, and people who refuse them, especially for their children, are fools.
There are now diseases making a comeback because of this lunacy, after decades of eradication thanks to vaccines! Do you think the deaths in Alabama are just part of the conspiracy or something? Do you think
Disease is real, and it's bad. Vaccines work. Use them.
I’ve never taken oregano oil, but what I have done for 20+ years is take Echinacea, which is an immune system booster, at the first sign of a cold (sniffle, throat itch, etc). I also take it immediately if I am around anyone who might be sick.
At one place I worked literally (and I mean LITERALLY) everyone got sick except for me, some even winding up in the hospital. I had told them about Echinacea and they gave me sh*t about it being “Hippie Stuff” (even though they knew I was no hippie ha ha). A week later, the supervisor had placed an almost industrial-size bottle of Echinacea in the office, LOL!
One other thing that I, and others, have found helpful once you get congestion is having chicken broth with fresh garlic and ginger. I do not like the taste of ginger, but this seems to work.
Anecdotal, but has worked for me and others I know.
Look at where some of them come from.
God made me, God made you, he Designed our immune systems.
I never said I was against vaccines, just some of them.
Thank you. I pray every day that the flu will not be as severe as it seems to be, and that children, especially, will be spared the worst of it.
