Friday, Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-IL) backed up a Washington Post report claiming President Donald Trump referred to certain nations as “shithole countries” in a bipartisan meeting Trump held with members of Congress on immigration policy.
Durbin’s remarks were made to reporters and captured by MSNBC’s camera.
Durbin also criticized Trump for his use of the term “chain migration” because according to the Senate Minority Whip, it was offensive to African-Americans that “migrated” to the United States chains.

I know of an African-American who didn’t come in chains. He was a white man who came from South Africa in the 1990’s. He became a U.S. citizen, so he became an African-American.

Doesn’t even make sense. We’re trying to end “Chain Migration” including those “in chains.” His supposed argument is actualy a reason to shut down “chain migration.”
OK, here goes: F**k African Americans. God bless black people! I have absolutely no respect for hyphenated citizens. Go the hell back to where you came! If you were born here of American citizens you are AMERICAN. PERIOD! I’m a second generation American and I will never say I am Italian-American which only my father had a right to do; but he never did. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps in WWII actually fighting in Italy. Again, F*&K Norwegians; no disrespect intended toward Norway.
I wouldn’t bet my bottom dollar that Turban doesn’t have ambitions to go feet first, but let’s speculate.
I doubt very much that Roskam will run, he doesn’t seem the type to give up his seat for a mere chance (and not a great one) of winning a Senate race and the NRCC would balk at him opening up his seat in a POTUS year. Is the Milk Man’s State Senate seat up that year? If not I wouldn’t put it past him to run.
The rat side might be a free for all. Schneider is a dweeb who has close races in a seat that votes comfortably rat for President.
Cheri Bustos might run, if she doesn’t lose this year (please God). Princess Lisa (Madigan) might well be interested in a coronation.
If Madigan doesn’t run I’d bet on Black (ie a Black democrat winning the primary). Robin Kelly would be one to watch.

Yes, State Senator Oberweis will be able to run for re-election in 2020. I hope that he won’t run for re-election. He’s conservative enough, but eight years is long enough for anyone to be a state senator. If Durbin doesn’t run, Oberweis might run for that seat. Oberweis probably won’t run against Durbin a second time.
