The revolution will be televised, thats the word coming down from NBC executives who say they will televise any player who chooses to protest the anthem during the Super Bowl. When you are covering a live event, you are covering whats happening, NBC Sports EP Fred Gaudelli told reporters at the Television Critics Association on Tuesday.
If there are players who choose to kneel, they will be shown live, he said.
Gaudelli explained that, if a player chose to protest during the anthem, NBC broadcasters Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth would likely give the playerss name, some background on the a protests, and then get on with the game.
According to Fox News, The anthem will be aired live and is scheduled to be performed by Pink. Potential protesters will have an opportunity to make a statement in front of a massive audience, as 112.2 million people watched Super Bowl LI last season the fifth most-watched program in television history.
The NFLs anthem protest movement began in the preseason of 2016, when then-49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick first sat, then knelt, in protest against police brutality. Kaepernick continued his protest throughout the 2016 season, but has not suited-up for another NFL team since walking away from his contract in San Francisco at the end of that year.
Despite Kaepernicks absence in 2017, the protest movement he began continued without him. Increasing in intensity during Week 3 of the season, after President Trump blasted the protesting players at a political rally. During that weekend over 200 players, executives, and coaches, protested the anthem and President Trump.

Good. This will be a giant nail in the coffin of the current, Left-wing activist NFL.

Will they also show the empty seats?
I notice only crowd shots for well attended games. No crowd shots showing empty seats.

What is this “Super Bowl” ?
What is an NBC?
Nice try, clowns. But we won’t be watching.
That's what people would be tuning in for -- to see and hear her sing, not to watch those fools kneel.
We have at least one rabid NFL fanatic here at FR. It's fun watching him foam at the mouth.
Here’s another thread for your to profess your undying love for men playing children’s games. Knock yourself out.
Really which teams and which players will be at the Superbowl? do tell I’ll make a killing this weekend and next weekend in Vegas if you already know what teams will be there. Loser
I will not see the Super Bowl this year or any year as long as I am alive. NFL and now NCAA football are VERBOTEN AUF MEIN HAUS!
The Super Blow!
Not even once this year. College football did the trick for me. I’ll be watching the Lingerie Bowl instead.
That’s the opposite of what the NBA is doing in some home courts which now turn the lights off that shine on the players so you can’t see them.
In other news, Roger Goodell has decided to turn the pusshats into the new design FNFL helmet.
Does anybody care to bet on the sure to be historically low viewership numbers for this year’s edition of the Stupor Bowl?
My gut tells me that it will set a record.
Kitten Bowl! =(^..^)=
How about a Cats & Dogs Bowl - vets on standby, obviously ;-)
