WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is suggesting that an immigration deal could be tackled in two phases — first by taking care of the so-called Dreamers and border security, then by making comprehensive reforms to the immigration system.

Did you hear Trump say that an end to chain migration and an end to visa lottery must be included in any DACA deal? No, I didn’t think you did.
He said those can be taken up AFTER the DACA issue is taken care of and the wall is funded. That plays right into the Rats’ hands, because they’ll get a clean DACA and no wall will be built because it is easy to get a Rat judge to issue a stay; and an end to chain migration and an end to visa lottery will never be passed “next,” (because he will be including them in a “comprehensive immigration reform” bill that will never be agreed upon).

What is happening is a total grid lock down in which he will have to allow what he is quoted as saying in my Tag line that I show every day because a shut down on non essential government is a wonderful thing and we win with that too.

A FReeper on another thread pointed out that eVerify only forces employers to do government's job for them. I'd never thought about it that way. If government did its job of border security there'd be no need for it
NO!!! This is exactly what doomed President Reagan’s immigration bill. The d**n Democrats got him to grant amnesty to three million illegal aliens, while promising to increase border security. Of course they were lying as usual, and the enforcement at the border never happened.
As a result, now we have almost twenty million illegals. They must be deported, as Pres. Eisenhower did in Operation Wetback, or we will have 100 million in twenty years. Pres. Trump will have FAILED if he falls for the same lies that Reagan did, because history will definitely repeat itself.

It was stunning in that conference when he said basically “I’ll sign whatever congress can agree on”.
Unbelievable sellout on a key issue that got him elected. He is cucking on immigration. He is looking for a way to get a major amnesty through and not pay a political price.
