“Could” or “could” is not “would” do it, and what was not said by Trump. Yeah Trump will sign the bill after his input. It’s a very good chance the immigration/wall bill isn’t going anywhere as it will be tied up in Congress.
It’s variation of the “Rope a dope strategy.”
Ending chain migration and securing the border are the ‘without which, nothing else’ horse before the cart of worrying about the poor DACA dears.
We can handle ‘birthright’ citizenship once our southwest border is secure, if we can stop them from trespassing (and squatting) with the wall. Assimilate the ones here and reinstate de jure national sovereignty.

Reflecting on the meeting now, I think Trump sees the DACA negotiation is going to fail between RATs and GOP. He wants to say, he’s ready to sign a bill. DACA has been repealed, and the clock is running - at some point, the RATs need to come to the table. If they try and throw it back at Trump, he’s going to throw his arms up and say, he’s ready to sign a bill. (while we deport Dreamers)

This is how a BOSS does things. School is in session. Get all stakeholders in a room, establish Who Is In Charge (he is, no doubt), hear all their concerns, don’t shoot anything down outright. Answer honestly when put on the spot, use humor to keep it gojng.
Then make your own decision. Mitch and Ryan are now Trump loyalists, and will handle it. Trump’s list of necessaries will not and has not changed.

I think that's likely correct. And DACA runs out in March... those people are no longer allowed here and they move on with deportations in normal course of business.

Okay, what exactly is fake news about this particular AP report? I’ve read it, have listened to excerpts of today’s meeting, and listening to the talking heads discuss it. I’m not finding anything explicitly fake about this report.
