Fully a quarter of illegals who are eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program cant speak English at all 46 percent can only speak it a little.
Thats according to a 2016 study from the Center for Immigration Studies, coming to light once again because President Donald Trumps administration is due to end DACA this March. And you know what these findings mean, dont you?
Its not your imagination.
Thats a far cry from what amnesty types tell. Those who want open borders, all the time make it seem as if all immigrants are simply hardworking American wannabes, and those sneaking across the border, or bringing their minor-aged children across the border, are only on a mission to become good citizens of these United States.
Apparently, not.
It would seem step number one to becoming a citizen of a foreign nation would be to learn the new language, yes? Those who dont would seem to be separating themselves in a crucial cultural way.
But the CIS study is not the most disturbing finding about the DACA crowd. The Congressional Budget Office just reported that almost one-fifth of illegals eligible for DACA would wind up taking food stamps within 10 years.
So not only are DACAs non-English speakers, failing to assimilate with U.S. society in this all-too-important manner. But theyre living off the taxpayer dime.
Nowhere but in America. Certainly not in Mexico, or points south of the border. For certain illegals, it seems, the American dream has little to do with America and much to do with handouts and entitlements.

I have read about Korean immigrants in Los Angeles learning Spanish as a second language in addition to their Korean language. They find that Spanish is easier to learn than English, and in Los Angeles there is no need to speak English.
Well, then, they should be a real asset to their parents' home countries when we send them back!
Teach them to learn English, or get them out!
Are you listening, Mr. President?
No more amnesties. “They have to go back.”
Quite true. Just today I was having a conversation with two coworkers. One is an immigrant from the Philippines. Her English is already very good, but she wishes it was better and is trying to improve. The other coworker was born here and said she feels ashamed to be living in Los Angeles and not knowing how to speak Spanish. I kept my mouth shut, but I live in LA and I refuse to learn Spanish! Why should I have to learn a foreign language in order to get along in my own country?
That's what I've said. If they are so great & a "national treasure" why doesn't a hell hole like Mexico want them back? Let them live out their dream south of the border.
I’ll bet that the same study shows that they’re curiously unable to work,”chronic anxiety disorder” being the most common reason noted on their disability applications.
I've done some foreign traveling in my day and I'm always surprised just how easy it is to find people who speak English.
However,I travel to Quebec on a semi-frequent basis and when there I try to speak French (studied 50+ years ago in school) more as a courtesy than anything else.
My attitude is...when I'm in a foreign country I'll try to speak their language, even it just means learning "please" and "thank you".But if you're *living* in the United States and you want to communicate with me it's gonna be in English or I have no interest in what you're saying.
The open-borders crowd would have you think they are as Americanized as apple pie and grits.
That would be caused by their fear of Conservative Gringo Boogey-Men in Trump MAGA hats dragging them out of bed in the middle of the night.
They know this to be true because their mothers learned about it at the democrat party meetings and they see it on TV news themselves. Plus, way back before they were in their 30's their teachers told them it was so.
Factoid: Of the 800,000, only about 800 have served or are serving in our military. Their military service often touted as reason for the legalization of the 800,000.
90 point IQ, can’t speak English, but the nation’s fate is in their hands, according to the media narrative.
Ship ‘em all back where they came from...Along with parents...
Como se dice BOO HOO en Espanol ???
The days of people coming to America to be Americans, to assimilate into something greater while still holding on to their culture of origin are over, democrats have achieved their goal of keeping America divided not just by class envy but by race and culture. Robert Byrd, LBJ, Ted Kennedy and so many other Democrats of the past are smiling that their dreams are coming true.
I can back up every single thing you have said. Americans are a minority in California.
“Teach them to learn English, or get them out!”
They can teach themselves.
Ay! Wee Dreamers reed and right fine - stop you no sense. I hav had many high level jobs at booth State and DOJ too prooe it!
You speak the truth. Some of the TV commercials, even on major networks, are totally in Spanish. Announcements over stores’ PA systems are in Spanish, billboards are in Spanish without even an English translation underneath, I get telemarketing calls in Spanish, I’ve gotten bills in the mail that are in Spanish, etc. If you channel surf, you have to go through dozens of Spanish language TV channels. Where I work, one of the things we do is provide interpreters, and it’s not at all unusual for someone who’s been living in the U.S. for decades to need a Spanish language interpreter. The people who are shamed, inconvenienced, and denied jobs here are the few Angelenos who only speak English. I have people ask me how I’ve lived in LA this long without learning Spanish. But it would be “racist” and “insensitive” to suggest an illegal learn English.
I don’t know if people in other areas have any idea how truly bad it is here, or that it’s coming to them.
“I dont know if people in other areas have any idea how truly bad it is here, or that its coming to them.”
I agree with you on that. As goes California, so goes the nation. Fortunately, I speak Spanish so the language is not an obstacle for me, but it still pisses me off.
