Iran, the Number One State of Sponsored Terror with numerous violations of Human Rights occurring on an hourly basis, has now closed down the Internet so that peaceful demonstrators cannot communicate. Not good!

We should be doing what the Russians and the Chinese do in these situations, and clandestinely start arming the Iranian freedom fighters. In order to win today, you need to play by the same rules as your adversaries. the Maquis of Queensbury is long-gone! When Iranian soldiers start dying at the hands of their civilian counterparts, it won’t be long before the army collapses there.
Like someone posted on Twitter earlier today the best way for repressive governments to encourage revolution is to allow open access to the internet. However the next-best way to encourage revolution is to close down open internet access.
When the hive is at a boil, the sure fire remedy is to shut off the internet and really piss them off.

IIRC Obama sat down with Zuckerberg and the Google people and Twitter execs to instill changes that would make such coordination difficult domestically.
