Something profound is happening throughout Iran, and the Western mass media are just not reporting it.
For some time now, protests by ordinary Iranians have become a daily routine. These protesters include workers who have not been paid wages or have become redundant; savers who have lost their savings in Iran's many quasi-banks, which are infested with corruption and embezzlement; people concerned about the environmental disaster Iran is fast becoming; people protesting rising prices; retired pensioners whose retirement funds have been plundered by successive administrations; and low-income people who can no longer make ends meet.
These protesters are across the spectrum of Iranian society. The protests are getting larger, and their chants are becoming more radical

I can’t believe anyone is dumb enough to buy into the narrative that Iran’s government is under threat.
Anyone else notice that the more we hear about Iran, the less we hear about immigration? Trump’s first year in office had the highest immigration level since 1999.

The Saudis have long covertly supported groups and agents among the Arab minority inside Iran, the Kurds have groups (like PJAK) and agents inside Iran, Iraq had long hosted the MEK, and Israel has long cultivated agents inside Iran.
Along with the assets of the CIA, quite a lot could be done inside Iran.
Yes. In 2009 I don’t think people knew how bad the Mullahs really are. They knew they stole the election, everybody understood that. Now, it is very clear how truly evil the Mullahs are.
I’ve been told they have hanged 10,000 people. Not sure what timespan that is over. Trials are not really trials. It is not like our jury system.
The rulers decide. Not jury of their peers.
A lot of the Tweets I sent back in the #IranElection phase in 2009 have vanished. So have most of those who sent them. Until recently it would still show if the account had ceased to be active, recently the entire post is gone. Before that I could read the sender’s screen name, but it was not highlighted in blue, indicating it was no longer an active account.
Every time I’d search that period of my timeline it made me very sad to see so many gone.
The US is gunning for the Iranian regime - they haven’t had to face that since Reagan.
Things may go a bit harder for the Mullahs, when their enemies start punching back hard.
The Executive Order that Trump recently signed giving the Secretary of the Treasury the authority to freeze assets of those involved in corruption or human rights abuses, could be turned on the Mullahs and the IRGC - or their personal fortunes could be threatened, if they don’t flip sides when the push comes.
