Trump critic and Republican Sen. Jeff Flake suggested Sunday that the presidents words and actions have left him open to a primary challenge if he seeks reelection.
If he continues on the path that he's on, that is going to leave a huge swath of voters looking for someone else, Flake, who is not seeking reelection in 2018, told ABC News This Week. He's probably inviting a Republican challenge.
Flake also said Trumps continued path could result in a diminished base and a huge swath of voters in the middle that may be looking for something else -- including a far left president like Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, an Independent, or Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

He’s such a limp wimp!!!
Give it up already, Jakey!
Yep, I am sure that there are a whole bunch of Republican senators and governors who watched Trump destroy the political future of the people who ran against him in the last primary. No doubt they are lining up to end their hopes of running for the presidency, just like Jeb, Marco, Ted, Carly, Chris, and the guy who's dad was a postman.
Nobody in their right mind would try to primary Donald Trump, unless they feel left out because they haven't been nick-named, humiliated and defeated on a national stage yet.
Kasich won’t win Ohio.
Trump will only need one campaign commercial. Two years from now, he should just sit before the camera with a list of his accomplishments. Then say, Americans, who else ever got this much done, with BOTH PARTIES against them? PLEASE. If you want posturing and posing, fake meetings, wasting your tax dollars and campaign lies, PLEASE. Vote for these other guys. Id be happy to take a break here.
Landslide nominee.
Bump!
Flake’s a great example of someone who’s been inside the beltway waaaaaaaay too long.
Lol
Flake just needs to go away and zip his trap. The guy has been a huge waste of air. He and McCain both need to go away.
Is Flake saying that he is planning to run against Trump in 2020??? Wow, I am LMAO.
I kinda doubt it but he may just be crazy enough to have that thought. lol
Wouldn't surprise me if he does via an independent run secretly funded by the RNC.
What part of Trump’s agenda does he think the base will be upset with? Lowering taxes?, tightening up border security?, the travel ban? repealing the individual mandate?, opening up ANWAR?, Judge Gorsuch?, moving our embassy to Jerusalem, ditching the Paris Climate Accord?
There’s something seriously wrong with this guy. He has some serious skeletons in his closet, is my guess. Flake is the last remaining man defending a Republican party that everyone else has already abandoned - even his own colleagues. We know he’s not defending the old Republican party on principle, because he has none. Just my opinion, but I suspect there’s some major dirt on him that will come out shortly.
Goes to show, Flake is a flake!
Yup,states like FL,NC,PA,OH,MI,IN,WI and IA are gonna flip from DJT to Princess Liawatha!
Yes, please run against Trump in 2020, Flake, you putz, please. What a maroon.
president Flake is the worst name for a president since president obama
Maybe the GOPe will give us 17 candidates again?
The NeoCons and Mormons won’t give up until they are crushed.
This from the guy who didn’t have enough support to even be competitive in his own primary.
Its a miss reading of the polls (that are rigged) that Trump is one of the most un-popular presidents in History. It makes sense —if you follow that logic—he should be a push over in the primary. But wait til the elections in 2018—a year from now. when Tax Bill goes into effect—economy in in high gear and the Liberals take a tumble. Events will change everything! Watch as Trump wins Reagan’s popularity. Flake will be a forgotten name—like Judge Moore at that time.
