I was accosted by a muslim man on the metro in Washington, DC in the late 90s, near George Washington University. He walked right up to me, told me he had to get married right away, and demanded my name and telephone number. He got visibly upset when I told him I was married and demanded to know if I had a sister.
I guess I’m lucky he didn’t punch me in the face.
