The majority of homeless in my area are white, 30-40’s, and habitual drug abusers who want every penny of any benefits they can lay their hands on to go to their drug habit. Things like cigarettes can be paid for by picking up recyclables or whatever isn't nailed down.

There's a guy for about $20 in meth who'll build you a trailer for your bike from a pair of stolen wheels with hubs and a walker. Wheelchairs make for great hubs & wheels.

There's an incredible underground economy designed just to rip off everyone else so they can get occasionally high. Meanwhile, shelter spaces remain vacant. They have rules, you know, and drug tests.

I’m sure you pretty well nailed it there. And you know what, if we only knew the half of it.

I have a relative that lives in a very nice neighborhood. Homes are in the $750k up price range. About three block away, there’s an overpass and sure enough, the homeless have moved in and are now spotted roaming the neighborhood to steal anything not nailed down.

I’m rather surprised the neighbors haven’t banded up and delivered a message to the homeless. Get our or else.

Our police should be rousting these folks. If they get caught a third time, they should have to be placed in an Arpayo type facility, to hang out there until they get dried out and promise to re-enter society in earnest.

I do not believe people who have invested their life savings should have to put up with this sort of thing. Property values can’t help but be affected in short order.
