Senate GOP whip John Cornyn told reporters on Monday that an amnesty for younger illegals wont be debated in the Senate this month, but will be considered in January. According to Reuters:
The U.S. Senate will not consider an immigration bill as part of year-end legislation but will turn to a measure protecting immigrant youths known as Dreamers in January, No. 2 Senate Republican John Cornyn said on Monday
The president has given us enough time to deal with this before March and so I think thats plenty of time and I expect us to meet it, Cornyn told reporters, adding, If we cant, then the president could extend the deadline if he chose to do so. But this is something were going to turn to, Im sure, in January.
The statement comes after Democratic leaders tried to intimidate GOP leaders with an unpopular and unlikely threat to block a government budget bill if the GOP did not agree to a no-strings amnesty for 3.24 million illegals.
Since then, two groups of Senators have prepared proposed amnesty packages for possible debate in the new year, despite the publics deep opposition to cheap-labor amnesties.

Or, instead of extending the deadline he could follow the law and boot them out of the country, Cornhead.
Deport illegals!
Expel muslims!
Those scumballs haven’t repealed Obamacare or built the wall. No DACA.
American citizens first. These people can go back and suck off where they came from.
Chain deportation, now!
10,000 miles of baby steps. Good luck Mr. President, it will be a long and lonely walk to get there.
How about no DACA ever, Senator?
yes they have plenty of time to show they have the spine they were born with and use it to say no amnesty. Will they is something entirely different.
This has been debated and previously rejected by congress. Illegal aliens of any age are not welcome or wanted in the US. Deport them all. Require eVerify for all CURRENT and FUTURE workers, regardless of if they are temporary or permanent. Cancel any and all benefits given illegal aliens, require that anyone identified as illegal be turned over to ICE, information or them physically. No exceptions.
I like the sound of that. Chain deportation, has a nice ring to it.
+1
The truth is they are waiting until the R’s are down to a 1 vote majority. After that we are getting screwed but good.
Kick them all out.
Translation. We are short votes and need that idiot from AL to put us over the top.
Probably.
Hey, Cornholio - NO to amnesty!!!!! I can and WILL vote against you if you even lift a finger to help the illegals. They MUST go, and can get on line to apply for a visa or residency after people who are already there, if they want back in.
No DACA Amnesty for Illegals This Christmas ..... or at any time in the future.
