Gowdy Eviscerates McCabe: "Surprised If He's Still An Employee Of The FBI By This Time Next Week"
Investing Matters ^ | 12-16-2017

Once again echoing the dinner conversations of a growing number of American households around the country, Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) ripped into FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on Fox News regarding text messages released earlier this week between Agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page that revealed an FBI plot, allegedly hatched in McCabe’s office, to prevent a Trump presidency at all costs. Among other things, Gowdy said he would be somewhat shocked if McCabe was still an employee of the FBI “by this time next week.”

“I’m still trying to figure out why 3 FBI agents are discussing politics in the Deputy Director’s office because you’re not supposed to discuss politics on Federal ground. And FBI agents aren’t supposed to engage in politics for Hatch Act reasons.”

Actually he does the opposite of exposing. He works to avoid any new exposures while running around acting like the next move regarding what has been exposed is gonna finally get the bad guys. And it never happens.

THAT appears to be his role in the deep state.

“Actually he does the opposite of exposing. He works to avoid any new exposures”

Got a documented verified example of this?

If so, you’ll be on TV tonight, I think.

Waiting for the long list of proof of Gowdy's effectiveness. Or even the short list.

Running around to hearings and live microphones all angry and indignant doesn't count.

But, go ahead, keep expecting Gowdy to save the country. You are gonna be waiting A LONG time.

What is with this blood thirsty mantra around here these days? Trey knows perfectly well what are his duties under the Constitution. I’d venture to say your bung would pucker like a lemon had he had you under questioning. He did his job. In fact did it so superbly even a junior prosecutor straight from college could have gotten a prosecution. Oh yes the same DOJ that was under Obama. Right, like that was going to happen. BUT BEHOLD! We have the right AG whose boss is our president. Yet no indictments? Why? The evidence is still there.

Trey did his job. He questioned, took his case NIGHTLY before the people in front of cameras hoping there’d be such a public outcry that pressured the AG to bring indictments. Yet we still have none.

No I’m thinking right about now the place that is all talk in starting to become the executive branch. Trey is no longer a prosecutor. Wished he were he was one of the most successful of all time having never lost a case.

You’re barking up the wrong tree

I see you changed the subject...

“Actually he does the opposite of exposing. He works to avoid any new exposures”

Got a documented verified example of this?

If so, you’ll be on TV tonight, I think.
You miss the point, big time.

Now, moving on to the subject you changed to:

I do NOT expect GOWDY to save the nation. YOU apparently do, because you are mad that he hasn’t done it yet.

I KNOW that Gowdy does not have the Constitutional authority to do much in this regard, as I and others keep pointing out. THAT is why I am NOT mad at him for failing to put Hillary in the joint. YOU are mad at him because you do not understand.

As for his effectiveness: he EFFECTIVELY informs every time he opens his mouth. For example, just today I learned from him that one can be in trouble just for discussing politics in an FBI office.

See 45 and maybe you should ask your questions of the executive branch and his DOJ.

Don’t bother. The populists have it in their mind that Trey (the best prosecutor of all time) is Judge Dredd and nothing will change their minds on this. Their frustration is with the Executive branch and his DOJ. Or at least it should be. The evidence was all uncovered under Gowdy’s questioning yet still no indictments. The evidence didn’t vanish yet still nothing from the Executive and HIS DOJ

Concurring bump....his role is akin to that of a rodeo clown, designed to distract the bull while the rider gets to safety.

The left controls some powerful levers, the mam and upper their of the FBI,
Still, they are in the minority.
If your average dim voter, not the establishment dims, knew what was really going on I think they would start peeling away in significant numbers.
Or, at the least stay home during elections.

Exactly.

I voted for Trump, and I LITERALLY thank GOD for Trump, and I will vote for him again, and his SC picks are FAR FAR FAR more important that this DOJ FBI stuff, but I am enraged at his inaction on this front, and it began on the day that he sent Conway out to say that Trump “wants Hillary to heal, not be prosecuted.”

Well, that whore bitch can heal in the joint. I hear the FED lockups have excellent health care, and it’s FREE!!!!

Learn what the roles are of each member of government and maybe, just maybe you’ll circle back around and say “well golly why hasn’t the Executive and HIS DOJ gotten around to those indictments. The evidence uncovered by Trey DOING HIS JOB was more than enough for a prosecution. Hmmmm odd that I’m not attacking the Executive and HIS DOJ for this. Why is this?”

Your frustrations are conveniently misplaced

But, again, you are correct, and well said by the way.

Gowdy DID HIS JOB, and passed the good to DOJ/FBI/TRUMP, and it is THEY who REFUSE to do their jobs.

Trump, on the other hand, can order investigations, appoint special counsels, and END ALL of the stonewalling literally in minutes. The DOJ and FBI and all the stonewallers serve at his pleasure and he has plenary control over their agencies, and he can order them to come clean and he can fire them in seconds.

On the surface, I would agree with you. But we should consider whether Trump's goal is
(a) to bring these details into public view; or
(b) to gather evidence to be used at trial.

If the latter, it makes sense to let the "secret" plot go forward and reveal even more incriminating evidence and more criminal conspirators. And why fire them now, when you've got them on government payroll in government facilities using government communications channels? While in government employ, everywhere they go and all that they say, do and write is a matter of record. Even Mueller's special counsel served as a "honey pot" for Hillary's most partisan lawyers to do their deeds on the record; in reality, they were only spinning their tires chasing evidence that never existed.

Enraged people - even the smartest ones - do stupid things. This might prove to be the greatest sting of all time.

No you’ve proven my point. Why aren’t you as adamant about Trump and his DOJ? Doesn’t fit the narrative? Afraid it will mar his image? Didn’t he say he wanted the nation to heal?
