Once again echoing the dinner conversations of a growing number of American households around the country, Representative Trey Gowdy (R-SC) ripped into FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on Fox News regarding text messages released earlier this week between Agent Peter Strzok and lawyer Lisa Page that revealed an FBI plot, allegedly hatched in McCabes office, to prevent a Trump presidency at all costs. Among other things, Gowdy said he would be somewhat shocked if McCabe was still an employee of the FBI by this time next week.
Im still trying to figure out why 3 FBI agents are discussing politics in the Deputy Directors office because youre not supposed to discuss politics on Federal ground. And FBI agents arent supposed to engage in politics for Hatch Act reasons.

From Bret Baier:
Text-from Peter Strzok to Lisa Page (Andy is Andrew McCabe): "I want to believe the path u threw out 4 consideration in Andy's office-that there's no way he gets elected-but I'm afraid we can't take that risk. It's like an insurance policy in unlikely event u die be4 you're 40"
BTW, Lois Lerner (IRS) (retired) is still laughing at you.(They ALL still have their jobs and pensions over there.)
Trey is all talk no action, Foghorn Leghorn personified. Wake me up when Trey actually does something.
Surprised if he is still employed??? Hell, I’ll be surprised if he isn’t promoted and given a pay raise.
MSM can do what its propaganda needs dictate, but civil servants must be held responsible.
"Sixty-three percent of polled voters believe that the FBI has been resisting providing information to Congress on the Clinton and Trump investigations. This is a remarkable finding for an agency whose new head said a few days ago that the agency was in fine shape. No, it isnt.
Fifty-four percent say special counsel Robert Mueller has conflicts of interest that prevent him from doing an unbiased job, also according to this months Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll. So, given this finding, the silence from the special counsel on the subject has become downright deafening.
“....BTW, Lois Lerner (IRS) (retired) is still laughing at you.(They ALL still have their jobs and pensions over there.)...”
Not only, Lois, but the country’s “unwashed masses” are laughing at you.
You and your endless “hearings/investigations” are a NOTHING BURGER...NOTHING. You have not had one of these crooks, not single one, ever go to jail, not one. It’s all theatre and show for the “unwashed”. The UniParty protects the UniParty. You’re part of the problem, and definitely not the solution.
The swamp is alive and protects its own at all costs. The Dems winning normally unwinnable Senate seats through extreme dirty mud slinging does not bode well for defeating the swamp. Half of American voters will vote D no matter how foul and fetid the corruption. They are voting to continue the status quo.
So states the showboating, ineffectual, and constantly yipping congresscritter who has more hairstyles than the average diva.
You have many like minded thinkers.

The investigation is being conducted by 450 agents
The Free Republic dogma is wrong
* DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz told House Judiciary Democrats in a letter on Friday that the department did not consult his office before releasing text messages that are currently under OIG investigation to Congress and the press.
* The texts from 2016 were exchanged between former agents on special counsel Robert Mueller's team who expressed disdain for then-candidate Donald Trump. They were obtained as part of an OIG investigation opened earlier this year.
* It is still unclear who authorized the decision, if not Horowitz.
“..The investigation is being conducted by 450 agents.
The Free Republic dogma is wrong....”
Yeah, well, I hope you’re right, but I should have been from Missouri because they’re definitely going to have to “show me”, and everyone else, some serious criminal prosecution because, so far, FR dogma has been right over the past few years.
Other than Trump, most of us have absolutely lost all faith in the federal leviathan that exists up there. All it does is suck our hard-earned money into a cesspool of crime & corruption. The rest of us get ticketed for jaywalking while those evil azzholes up there literally get away with murder.
I think we are going to get to see exactly how much the deep state runs the government and media and it is chilling. Mega Anon says that Strozk is the memo and document forger for the government and a multi agency guy....true deep state. If true a much bigger picture begins to emerge with implications as to what the heads of these agencies really control and do not control or better yet how much they are handled. This is going to be the greatest scandal in the history of the US if true.
God put His Thumb on the scales. That is absolutely the only way that the plot was unsuccessful! It is a true miracle!
Amen!
What can Gowdy do? As far as I know he has ABSOLUTELY ZERO power to do anything but expose stuff and talk about it. That’s what he does.
He cannot issue subpoenas on his own, compel testimony, order DOJ or FBI investigations, indict anybody, refer anybody for an indictment, impanel grand juries. None of that.
I'm sure your fine Colorado Springs engineering education included a thorough study of the Constitution and its provision for separate and limited powers. If it did, you should know that Trey Gowdy has been "doing" all that is within his power to do -- which is investigate. Congress has the power to issue subpoenas and compel sworn testimony; Congress can rant and rail, pass laws and control spending. But only the Executive has the constitutional power to prosecute criminal charges (with the exception of impeaching the president and federal judges). Your negative opinion of Trey Gowdy was shaped in the long years that Obama controlled the Executive Department and wielded the constitutional power to "do" something.
Trump has been president not even eleven months, and Sessions has been attorney general for only ten months. President Trump nominated Rosenstein to remain as deputy attorney general for a reason known to him. President Trump interviewed Mueller on April 16, and then Rosenstein appointed Mueller special counsel the next day on April 17 - fulfilling Trump's promise to Hillary in the second debate. In the past eight months, while everyone thought Mueller and his band of Hillary lawyers were nailing Trump, all the evidence has implicated Trump's enemies, not Trump. More and worse will come to light as what has been hidden is revealed. The flak is heavy now because we are over the target.
OOOOoohhh Gowdy is yapping! “I’m scared now” said no dem ever after shaking off this loud little ankle biter.
Seize his Porsche.
Given our Constitution and its provision for separate and limited powers, how do you think Trey Gowdy could be more effective as a member of Congress?
