A womens rights lawyer tried to solicit cash from donors and media outlets for women who accused President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct, a new report said Friday.
Attorney Lisa Bloom offered to sell the alleged victims stories to TV outlets and wanted to pocket a portion for herself as a commission, The Hill reported.
She persuaded a donor to pay off one accusers mortgage and tried to get a fat six-figure payment for another woman who eventually declined to come forward even after she was offered as much as $750,000, the website reported, citing Blooms clients as sources.
Bloom told one prospective accuser that political action committees supporting Hillary Clinton were also contacted as part of the effort, though details about that connection were scarce.
In a statement to The Hill, Bloom acknowledged she engaged in discussions to get cash for women who made or thought about accusing Trump before last years election.
Donors reached out to my firm directly to help some of the women I represented, said Bloom, whose clients have included women who accused disgraced ex-Fox News host Bill OReilly and serial perv Bill Cosby.
Bloom, the daughter of noted womens rights lawyer Gloria Allred, said she wasnt pressuring the women to come forward, just trying to help them relocate or arrange security if they felt in danger after going public.
She would not identify any of the donors.
Bloom also said a standard part of her contracts required women to pay her commissions as high as 33 percent if she sold their stories to media outlets.

There fixed it.
I thought this scum couldn’t go any lower after she used hardball tactics to defend Weinstein. I was wrong.
Yep, all this criminal activity of late and not one single person has been locked up. Our justice system right now is in shambles.
SCARY....
Nasty, nasty.
“and serial perv Bill Cosby.”
Maybe he’s innocent after all.
This is the same Lisa Bloom who bullied and intimidated rape victims while working for Harvey Weinstein. And the same Lisa Bloom who defending Weinstein in the media after he was accused.
Read for yourself Lisa Bloom’s statement to the media after Weinstein was accused.
“Harvey Weinstein and I have had many wide ranging conversations over the last year about rumors and allegations against him. He denies many of the accusations as patently false. Nevertheless, I have explained to him that due to the power difference between a major studio head like him and most others in the industry, whatever his motives, some of his words and behaviors can be perceived as inappropriate, even intimidating.
As a womens rights advocate, I have been blunt with Harvey and he has listened to me. I have told him that times have changed, it is 2017, and he needs to evolve to a higher standard. I have found Harvey to be refreshingly candid and receptive to my message. He has acknowledged mistakes he has made. He is reading books and going to therapy. He is an old dinosaur learning new ways. He wants to reach out to any of the women who may have issues with him to talk to them in a respectful, peaceful way, with me present if that is acceptable to them. He has been working on a major foundation with USC with one of the largest grants for female directors, which started well over a year ago. And as we work together on a project bringing my book to the screen, he has always been respectful toward me.
He is deeply bothered by his some of his emotional responses. He has been working on his temper for over ten years and is chagrined the issue still plagues him. He recognizes he needs time off to focus on this issue and has much to learn. He wants to reach out to teachers with expertise in this area.
Harvey is not going to demean or attack any of the women making accusations against him, although he does dispute many of the allegations. Instead, he is going to use this as a painful learning experience to grow into a better man. I will continue to work with him personally for as long as it takes.
In addition, Harvey has asked me to do a comprehensive review of his companys policies and practices regarding women in the workplace. I will make recommendations to ensure that gender equality and zero tolerance for workplace misconduct arent just goals, but a reality.”
Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer! That Lisa Bloom?
These women are as equally as nasty as the men they are trying to accuse. Full of hate and venom the likes of which I have never seen with an adoring media to give them a platform.
The law should give those who have (supposedly) been “harassed”, a 30-day statute of limitations...if it takes you that long to muster of the “courage” to tell your tale, then it didn’t bother you too much in the first place.
running to the media is not “proof” that it happened, it’s still just an accusation.
Figure out the line of separation between “harassment” and “abuse”. Define “Harassment”...if it includes overhearing a adult joke, then you have no case.
Being insulted does not carry an immunity clause. We all get insulted over one thing or another from time to time...nothing to ruin another person’s life over.
Mommy is a whore and so am I!!
The Hill nor the NY Post article don’t say if the “accuser’s” were paid to lie, or paid to tell the truth. That’s the story.
Lawyers get paid to do dirty things all the time.
Our politicians have to see and read the same things we do, but all we get from them is manufactured outrage and nifty sound bites for the 6 o’clock news.
Is there NO ONE in a position of authority who has had enough???
What a surprise! NOT! One thing that is surprising, is that The Hill is actually publishing some real news, instead of just fake. Actually the 2 biggest boys on the block show a little bit of fairness occasionally. Of course, it’s often buried in the depths of an article, but it’s a start.
OK, got it.
So in other words they are getting paid to accuse him.
...He wants to reach out to any of the women who may have issues with him to talk to them in a respectful, peaceful way ...
...And as we work together on a project bringing my book to the screen, he has always been respectful toward me."
Weinstein might be a lech and a dinosaur, but he's not stupid. He's using her just like all the other bimbos - just not physically this time.
Promising to make her book into a movie? I laughed out loud at that one.
She will smear a man based on what he may have done 40 years ago, but Harvey is a new man in a week or two?
I know, lawyers get paid to make their clients look good, but what idiot can't see through this?
And the same attorney who defended Kathy Griffin in a hyped PR news conference.
Crooked lawyerin’ is the fambly bidness.
When’s the disbarment hearing?
