Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has been admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for recovery from the side effects of another round of treatment for brain cancer, according to his office.
McCain, who missed a third straight day of Senate votes Wednesday, has been undergoing rounds of chemotherapy and radiation to treat glioblastoma, the terminal form of brain cancer he was diagnosed with in July. McCain has been undergoing treatments since early September at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, next to Walter Reed.
Two friends close to McCain, requesting anonymity to speak about his condition, said there were no plans for the senator to resign. In a statement issued from his office, McCain hopes to return “to work as soon as possible.”
Republican leaders expect to hold a vote early next week on the sweeping tax-cut plan that is currently in a House-Senate negotiation. The Senate version initially passed with 51 votes. If McCain missed the vote on final passage, Republicans would not be able to afford a single additional defection or absence to pass the legislation.

That's a scary thought...but in keeping with the way people like him think.
The best interests of our country would be served by McCain confessing to war crimes, political corruption, and apologizing to the people of Arizona for failing to represent their interests.
Which is probably why he's going to the VA instead of the top-tier medical centers for the govermnent ruling class.
He's aiming for the sympathy ploy. Sad thing is, he'll probably get it from the low-information crowd. "Look at that! Senator McCain is getting his treatment from the VA! Ain't that impressive!"
I might add: the teary appearance yesterday by his daughter and Bite Me was all part of this scam.

Sorry. Even though my father died of this type of Brain Cancer just 7 weeks from initial diagnosis, I have NO empathy for this evil man.
John has already missed some votes. Maybe he just wants to finally do the right thing and vote for the tax plan.

I think it’s funny that he has to hope to die BEFORE it’s proven how corrupt he is. He’d rather face the devil than face a jury. If course, he’s an atheist so he doesn’t believe the devil exists.
