Suspended PBS talk show host Tavis Smiley insisted on Thursday that sexual harassment allegations him are untrue.
“I have the utmost respect for women and celebrate the courage of those who have come forth to tell their truth,” he posted on Facebook shortly after midnight.
“To be clear, I have never groped, coerced, or exposed myself inappropriately to any workplace colleague in my entire broadcast career.”

He’s guilty - needs to prove he’s innocent. And why is he just suspended and not fired ?

I can certainly understand why PBS would look for an excuse to fire him. Even Charlie Rose's program wasn't as bad (although it was really awful, too) as Tavis Smiley and they already fired him.
It's past time. I get the feeling that Roy Moore got some very bad advice to ignore it and it will go away. He should've immediately marched out 50 women who said he's an honorable gentlemen and how as Judge he saved them from abusive husbands or whatever.
People with an agenda and no scruples can't be ignored.
I want to hear women demanding due process for these men because eventually this “guilt by accusation” is going to be their nemesis too.

Produced by Smiley’s TS Media, Inc., the show is filmed in Los Angeles and airs on WNET New York, KOCE Southern California, WTTW Chicago, WHYY Philadelphia, and other public television stations nationwide.
PBS distributes the series, but does not employ Smiley or any of his staff. The show, which is underwritten by sponsors such as Wal-Mart, has received four NAACP Image Awards.
