Washington, D.C. ­– The office of Senator John McCain (R-AZ) released the following statement today:

“Senator McCain is currently receiving treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center for normal side effects of his ongoing cancer therapy. As ever, he remains grateful to his physicians for their excellent care, and his friends and supporters for their encouragement and good wishes. Senator McCain looks forward to returning to work as soon as possible.”

While I agree with you we should not be dancing on McCain’s grave, we need to be very clear that McCain did not “simply disagree with others politically,” he was conniving, duplicitous, openly hateful, demeaning and crooked. Those elements don’t combine to be anything like a simple disagreement.

I agree but when someone simply says die just for his malfeasance and his apolitical stances that is where it goes way too far. I personally don’t like the man but do not wish him death. Life is short and way too short to get all hell bent out of shape for John McCain
