Washington, D.C. The office of Senator John McCain (R-AZ) released the following statement today:
Senator McCain is currently receiving treatment at Walter Reed Medical Center for normal side effects of his ongoing cancer therapy. As ever, he remains grateful to his physicians for their excellent care, and his friends and supporters for their encouragement and good wishes. Senator McCain looks forward to returning to work as soon as possible.
My thought as well.
His “absentee (no) vote” comes at a very convenient time, doesn’t it Sen McConnell?
Please John. Hang on for a couple more weeks.
“Just quit.”
He won’t. Utterly consumed by his own self importance. Will find him face down on his desk. Hope you enjoyed your golden retirement years John.Your family did. Cindy is probably already out there banging younger guys.
Too bad he’s NOT on Obamacare like the rest of us suckers.
I was considering that McCain may become incapacitated. He seems unwilling to step aside and resign.
I don’t have anything nice to say.
“You wish a man who has a family to die a painful death just for the simple sin of disagreeing with us politically?”
Disagreeing isnt the problem. Its FORCING one against their will and imposing dictates that is the the problem. Such as Obamacare.
Take a long rest Senator
Sorry but he has more than enough money to cover any expense, the fact that he doesn't have to disgusts me however.
Rush Limbaugh self insures as I suspect most of the wealthy do, well unless they can get VIP treatment at Walter Reed.
I heard he asked the Make-a-Wish Foundation to fulfill his last request to be President for a Day.
I have many things to say about McCain. However, in the interest of maintaining my posting privileges on this forum, I won’t.
There are likely other FReepers in the same boat.
LOL! Winner.
We’ll all did sooner or later; hopefully without causing as much harm.
He gets off lucky by dying in the hospital of incurable brain tumor, or radiation to the cerebrum, whichever comes first.
Die, not did.
LoL Good to see ya!
Im seeing a lot of people demonize John McCain, playing the ol identity politics game. I dont personally like the man either, I guess I just dont live for meme-wars and the wink Id give myself nightly, while brushing my teeth, after a particularly gratifyingly snarky riposte to a dying mans illness. The lines are blurry, cant hardly tell the difference between us/them self-righteous drivel.
In the real world, we shouldn’t expect to see Juan walk out of the hospital. Diagnosed in September, this is December...what are the odds? 3-6 months at most?
Amazing how these guys cling to power, like they are indispensable.
Here's an old song I like.
