Yes, but the Democrats have won 2 of the 3 elections under the current lines, which heavily favor the RATs. RINO Bob Dold did win in 2014, which was a great year for the GOP both in IL and nationally, but I wouldn’t place the IL-10 very high on a list of potential GOP pickups.

Phil used to live in IL-10 (he's since relocated to Nevada, so I can't fault him for being optimisitc that a decent conservative will win his old congressional district. Still, I agree the odds of taking that district are pretty slim. Phil has a good point that Bennett might win the primary with the "moderate" vote being split between the two Dem-lite GOP candidates, plus Bennett just might win due to him having the most "ballot friendly" name, and many voters probably didn't research their candidates and vote along the lines of "hmmm, that guy sounds good"

That's ironic Trump won Bustos district and performed very well there, I thought the RATs redistricted it to be "safe Dem" in order to purge Bobby Schilling (who had won under the old district lines in a big upset at the time, since a bigger name Republican, Andrea Zinga, had narrowly LOST it three times). Weird that Trump did so well in RAT areas downstate, while doing terrible in formerly "solid Republican" suburban areas in the Chicago area, like DuPage and Lake. Something like Roskam's district went Hillary while Bustos district went Trump? Cue Twilight Zone music.

Ideally, I wish we could defeat wife beater Bill Foster, and that guy with the impossible to pronounce last name that replaced Suckworth in the House.
