Maybe a lot of voters won't want to admit they voted for Moore (or intended to if before voting). I did see a lot of "Christians" interviewed on camera saying "conscience" and voting for Jones. Probably true.
And registrations can show the party but not their actual votes which last I knew have to be secret or no point left in our system. But I think they were trying to hoodwink however many voters they could that it would go on record who they voted for.
