Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.
One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

A precinct who was for Jones was just counted.
The Northwest part has nice towns. Litchfield County voted for Trump along with Windham...now, hope CT voters will wake up and get a Republican to undo the damage Danell Moron did...
Reminds me of the 2016 election..NYT went from Trump with a 5 percent chance of winning all the way to a 90 percent chance

“Yup, a person should never get too excited one way or another by the first-early results.”
Yep. You’d think I learned my lesson, but I was a wreck in 2004. After that, I keep in mind that whatever happens, happens. Now I look back at myself in 2004 and laugh as GW Bush now sickens me ... and I liked the guy!
I knew something was up with Trump the minute I saw Ohio results coming in ... he eviscerated Clinton in that state and had a feeling he was going to pull off a major upset in the rust belt. For whatever it’s worth, I just *knew* he was going to win at least one of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania ... I was floored and in tears when I saw him win all three.
The only thing I don’t like about the results coming in from Alabama is that the libs are certainly holding back their totals in their strongholds ... still, I can’t see Moore losing this. There is going to be a lot of liberals screaming that we elected a pedophile (yes, they are going to stoop that low), but PLEASE keep in mind that they’re going to look like asses screaming that.
NYT meter just flipped back to even. It’s going to be close.
Roy Moore leads by 4 percentage points over Doug Jones with 20 percent of precincts fully reporting.

Jefferson County is the Birmingham ghetto and surrounding area. Trump lost it 52-45, Moore surely won’t be winning it.
It’s going to depend on where the votes are coming from. so there will be fluctuations.
Its truly amazing how many moron voters we have in the nation. Astounding..
Yeah I remember it pretty well. Got nervous a few times myself.
Nate Silver is nothing Moore than a paid shill of the DNC. He’s a pathetic little leftist worm. A scumbag bolshevik puke. He has ZERO credibility after the 2016 election. He was totally humiliated by President Trump last year. He should just go away already. He’s an embarrassment to the human race.
CBC was venomous in their hatred for Trump, but in a perverse way that made it more fun to watch! That black lady was a piece of work alright!
About 218,000 votes have been counted already. Mr. Moore leads in that count by 5.0 points.
Its oscillating left and right - now a “tossup”
