Alabama votes on Tuesday in a special election to fill the Senate seat vacated by Jeff Sessions, now the attorney general. The last polls close at 8 p.m. Eastern. Strong support for Roy S. Moore, the Republican, is expected in rural, mostly white parts of the state and in its northern half. The Democrat, Doug Jones, aims to create a lead in the urban counties that include Birmingham and Montgomery, and across a band of largely black counties.
One critical battleground is a trio of smaller, whiter cities: Mobile, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville. Mr. Moore won a hard race in 2012 by keeping things close there. Mr. Jones hopes to win the cities by a convincing margin.

Again. Why is that the Heavy dem areas are the last to report there results? I see only two possibilities.
1. They need time to cheat
2. They are too stupid to count
dims and reps want this sexual abuse stuff to go away. no one wins other than a few very vocal feminist that is using it as a way to attack Trump. more dims are being hurt and that wont last much longer. btw, fraken will not resign. you heard it here first
Because the places left to count are typically heavy Dem
Moore +51,000 (7.4%) with 64% in
If that’s the case, the rural vote is nealy done and the urban vote has so many more votes to go, then Moore is in trouble
I don't believe Fox News' stupid political polls. But now they're calling the live results....
Because Hannity knows that a huge number of Dem votes are still uncounted in Bham and Montgomery.
3. both 1 and 2
I cannot believe we are going to lose this election!
Moore +51,000 (7.4%) with 64% in
As usual, the RAT areas (Birmingham, Mobile and Montgomery) are holding back much of their results to see if they need to manufacture any votes.
Bwahahaha. True. Been here watching election results since 98 and you are very much correct. I am ALWAYS a pessimist. ALWAYS. that way Im not disappointed. Lol. I also dont trust democrats and 90% of the republicans as far as I can throw them .., and that aint far!
COUNTED SO FAR: 65% ROY MOORE 368,778 53.2% DOUG JONES 313,969 45.3%
Yup. :-(
From NYT:
“About 693,000 votes have been counted already. Mr. Moore leads in that count by 7.9 points.
We think about 502,000 votes remain to be counted. We think Mr. Jones leads in that vote by about 16.1 points.”
My ‘seat of the pants’ math says Jones would need to win 2 out of every 3 voters left to win. I don’t see that happening ...
Moore was the wrong candidate......this should have been a landslide
I’d estimate a net 70K-80K votes in Jefferson and Montgomery that are outstanding, along with another net 10K-15K in other blue counties. That will nullify the existing 55K advantage Moore has and will require him to either narrow the numbers in Jefferson and Montgomery or collect another 40K advantage from outstanding red counties.
Yep. It’s over. Jones will win. No surprise when the republicans run these losers.
