Banning of diet soda or frowning on it is largely a liberal thing, IMO. Conservatives may or may not like it, but they mostly figure it is your business.
I was drinking 6-12 Coke Zeroes a day for going on 20 years, but I stopped completely, not for health reasons, but because I didn't want any more of my money going to Coca Cola.
I saw this Coke commercial a few months back and was so nauseated by it I just could not buy any more of their product. This is a picture of the teenage boy in the family looking at the Pool Boy cleaning the pool.
I did find out it is somewhat difficult to use alternatives, because there are so many beverage products bottled by Coca Cola that have different brand names, but...I get by. If I go to a restaurant, sometimes the only diet drink they serve is diet coke, and that is it.
At work, though, I have plastic bottles I fill with filtered water from a cooler and add lemon juice from concentrate with a few squirts of liquid Splenda. I go through about three a day, and that is an adequate substitute for work, at home I just drink generic diet soda. I can live with that.
I don’t try to find out who is up to what and alter my purchases.
There are so many problematic brands out there, it’s difficult to find one that is decent, if you do your leg work.
When Chik-Fil-A was out there having some trouble I drove across LA to find one to make purchases from.
Other than that, I just don’t bother.
Kudos to you for doing so.
I used to drink Coke, or Pepsy, Dr Pepper when I was younger but never more then one 12 can, or bottle. As I can not drink much liquid. I do prefer Sprite over these others but limit myself just to one.
