Gutfield made an argument that the long term pain Republicans will feel defending Moore will outweigh losing a senate seat, possibly temporarily.
He may be right, but I don’t thinks so.
If Moore loses MSM will tout a Trump defeat.
If Moore wins, MSM resume the victim showcase and shop for prominent Republicans to call for Moore’s resignation. Franken would definitely be out.
But the Republican Party is in decline. They can never win another national election unless they become more Trumplike. So their calling for Moore’s resignation has been weakened.
Trump will be vindicated again.

If Justice Kennedy retires this summer, the loss of one vote in the Senate would be critical in confirming a replacement.
It isn’t about cheering for a team.
It isn’t about the Republican label.
It is about the Supreme Court.
Shocking is the number of Americans who are today finding it acceptable to throw in with mob justice, with seeing no police report, no court case filing, certainly no due process, no use for the Statute of Limitations, just on claims attributed to events decades and decades old that may never have happened and will never be proven given the time elapsed.
Throw in the noticeable absence of lawyers (forget Gloria) along side these gals, as well as no corroboration, evidence, witnesses.
