I currently live in CA. That is changing early next year. If I were to stay my taxes would definitely go up rather significantly next year. (My understanding is the current code applies for 2017). If I were still staying in CA, that would hurt, and I feel for conservatives who have no say in the matter here. I even understand why some would feel like they were being abandoned by the so called conservative party.

However, under the present paradigm, CA will never cast electoral votes for a republican anyway, so I guess I also see why the party thinks its time to change the system. Tough love medicine. Maybe after the CA people come to their senses and vote out the socialist who run Sacramento, then the state can fix its tax and spend problem. I know it will be tough living without all those pretty bike paths...

Remember the .....demographics is destiny....line? Yeah, they’ll never vote out the socialists in Sacto. Conservatives have been replaced with takers. Can’t have a lot of takers without taxing the makers.

“CA will never cast electoral votes for a republican anyway”

What of those 14 Republican House members from CA?

What of the combined 34 Republican House member from CA, NY, NJ and IL?

Are they expendable too?
