Democrat Doug Jones holds a 10-point lead over Republican Roy Moore among likely voters in deep red Alabama.
Greater party loyalty plus higher interest in the election among Democrats combined with more enthusiasm among Jones supporters gives him the advantage in the race to fill the U.S. Senate seat previously held by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
Thats according to a Fox News Poll of Alabama voters conducted Thursday through Sunday using traditional polling techniques, including a list-based probability sample with both landlines and cellphones.
Jones receives 50 percent to Moores 40 percent, with 1-in-10 undecided (8 percent) or supporting another candidate (2 percent) -- which could make a difference Tuesday. Thats even truer with such an unconventional election with unconventional candidates.

This poll has a sample of only R+2. I think Alabama had an R+over 20 in the last few elections.
You mean like “Who will you vote for, the wonderful and outstanding Doug Jones or that child raping Roy Moore?”
Look at it this way, 10% can mean the difference of a car trunk full of write in ballots to cover it. Its been done before, it may work again.
Is this their version of a drum roll?
Fox is factoring in the voter fraud.
Networks have been burned frequently by vote fraud. Their polls tell them one thing and then the vote goes the other way.
They’re probably trying to gin up a sense of drama to keep viewers interested.
Fakenews
You mean like Who will you vote for, the wonderful and outstanding Doug Jones or that child raping Roy Moore?
............................... It can go deeper than that, he served in Vietnam, where he ate little children.
If Jones wins this race, frankly, it will be a death knell for all of America. Young people, in general, resemble Hitler youths more than Constitutional patriots.
In other breaking news, election polls show that Hillary Clinton is projected to win over Donald Trump in a nationwide landslide!
If 2016 proved anything it is that no matter what election outcome you want you can find a national media poll to support it.
Bill Mitchell tweeted that he looked at the internals of this poll. Fox oversampled Reps by.....only 2% points....in DEEP RED Alabama. Where republicans have at least a 15-20 point majority.
Riiggghhhht Fox News.....Jones is leading Moore.
How did this change so quickly? Is this another example of polling error, of polling firms trying to turn out the vote, or of reality. We should know more early Wednesday morning.
Cruising on a river named denial. :-)
One of the firms that conducts the Fox News polls is Anderson Robinson Research out of Boston. Here’s a snippet from their blog describing what they do best:
“Whether it is criminal or social justice, the environment or bettering the education system, at Anderson Robbins Research we take pride in our passion for issues that mean something to us. It isnt easy to help influence opinions in these areas, but it is our mission to help organizations do it because of our ability to both understand data and how to spread it.”
They spread it, alright...
and they come right out and admit they’re an advocacy group, not an objective research firm.
People, when will we learn that polls are tools for influencing election outcomes?
America is sick and getting sicker, with the majority of youths trying on their brown shirts as we speak.
I told my wife last night that Fox would come out with a poll today showing Jones leading Moore by double digits. Fox did the same thing with Trump, showing Clinton beating him by double digits, a couple days before the election. This bogus poll showing Jones way up will be repeated today on Fox at the top of each hour. Itll be the lead story all day on CNN and
MSNBC.
How much did the Democrats spend on the special congressional election in, I believe Kansas, which they lost.
But do Jones supporters watch Fox News? Probably not.
I hope it motivates Moore supporters to get out and vote and lulls Jones supporters into staying home.
Of course the intended effect is to get Moore supporters to give up and stay home in disgust.
This poll is an outlier that is using some kind of wishful thinking modeling. GOP has over a +20 advantage in voter registration.
