Ticket prices are worth mentioning but TV viewership,TV ad revenue and sweat shirt/jersey sales are even more important.

I have noticed the last few months while channel surfing that QVC and/or HSN are running a lot of segments on NFL jersies and items.

Maybe it is the season or maybe it is warehouses full of NFL merchandise that is slow-selling.
