I was a cop for over 20 years . As much as I respect and defend Law Enforcement, the cop in the video should have been charged with manslaughter. I am speechless. Being in this type of scenario,several times, there is no reason why a second officer could not have secured the subject,as he was lying prone on the ground with his hands extended outward. The moment the officer started giving multiple orders, the whole scenario went hairy. You see how scared and confused the subject was. It should have been over before it started. I’m telling you, this officer was lucky that had I been at this scene with him, he would not have been happy with my statement to IAB and the DA. Outrageous.
