Journalists were rattled on Saturday after President Donald Trump called out a Washington Post reporter for tweeting a misleading picture of Trumps rally in Pensacola, Florida, on Friday night.
Weigel had tweeted a picture of Trumps rally that appeared to show an empty arena, but it was taken well before the rally got underway in front of a packed venue.
Weigel apologized in response to Trumps tweet, at which point the president declared victory and called on Weigel to be fired. Weigel, Trump tweeted, just admitted that his picture was a FAKE (fraud?) showing an almost empty arena last night for my speech in Pensacola when, in fact, he knew the arena was packed (as shown also on T.V.). FAKE NEWS, he should be fired.
Trumps tweets at Weigel appeared to rattle some members of the media, in part because the president included Weigels Twitter handle in his tweets.
By including Dave Weigels @ handle, the presidents statement is inviting followers to gang up on a reporter, CNNs Brian Stelter wrote.
Mother Jones editor-in-chief Clara Jeffrey defended Weigel, calling him a great reporter.
The president calling for a journalist to be fired seems like a public threat to the First Amendment, wrote MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin.

IT’S NIXONIAN, I TELL YA!
One sided partisan media working hard to overthrow the Constitution seem like a serious threat to the First Amendment to me.
Media lies NON STOP about President Trump yet they are upset when Trump calls them out on it..here’s an idea media, maybe for ONCE, you STOP LYING ABOUT MY PRESIDENT
WINNING!
If Trump accomplishes nothing else during his presidency but destroy the propaganda organs, he will go down as one of the greatest president ever.
So far he’s may be ahead of schedule.
somewhere , Richard Nixon is smiling...
“The president calling for a journalist to be fired seems like a public threat to the First Amendment, wrote MSNBC producer Kyle Griffin.”
These people are morons.
Neither the media nor reporters are beyond criticism. When the media editorializes the news, make themselves the news or lies in news reports, they do not get “special” constitutional protections. If their “reports” do damage, they should be held liable.
The name fits. What a smarmy pic, it looks like it’s from the 70’s or 80’s.
“Paging the Boo Hoo girl”

Actually that’s a snip from a longer video, the girl is doing what, in Korea, is called “aegyo” - i.e. “being/acting cute”. The crying movements are called “buing buing”.
An example from Korean TV:

It is not a "minor error" to intentionally report fake news. He should not only be fired, he should be prosecuted.

Exactly. They have no concern at all about the FAKE NEWS.
That’s the guy from “W”.
